Standard on the Ram 1500 is a 3.6-liter V6 engine. For outdoor enthusiasts visiting remote locations, an available 3.0-liter EcoDiesel alternative offers a highway driving range of 1000 miles on a single tank.
The 5.7-liter V8 has an eTorque Mild Hybrid Technology system that helps the pickup truck generate an extra 130 Ib-ft of torque power for towing a camping trailer in challenging terrain.
Drivers looking for more speed can opt for the 6.2-liter V8--the most potent factory-installed engine in its class. With 702 hp and 650 torque output, it attains a top speed rating of 118 mph and 0-6 mph in 4.5 seconds.
Comfort and Convenience
Rambox Cargo Management system is a cargo compartment built into the side rails of the 1500. It is a valuable asset for summer fun.
Beachgoers can keep wet and sandy gear like towels, swimsuits and fishing rods inside the weatherproof and drainable compartment. Two lockable compartments add an extra 48 cubic feet of storage space which can be a lifesaver for adventure seekers on an extended camping trip.
