Jeep's Grand Wagoneer has been crowned the "Best Full-Size SUV" at the 2023 Newsweek Auto Awards, further solidifying its position as a leader in the luxury SUV segment.

Its first-rate passenger experience, family-friendly amenities and advanced safety tech earned the SUV recognition for the second consecutive year.

"For Grand Wagoneer to be recognized by Newsweek as the Best Full-Size SUV for two years in a row is a testament to what we set out to do every day—provide the most premium large SUV," said Jim Morrison, vice president of Jeep.

Key features of the 2023 Wagoneer include 4x4 capability, a standard horsepower Hurricane Twin Turbo engine, spacious seating across three rows and easy-to-use safety technology.

Wagoneer L, a long wheelbase variant of the full-size SUV makes its debut for the 2023 model year.

The "L" designation indicates that the vehicle has a longer wheelbase than the traditional Grand Wagoneer allowing it to provide more passenger and cargo space.

In addition to the best full-size SUV award, the 2023 Wagoneer also earned top honors for having the Best Family Friendly Technology and Best Passenger Ecosystem.

"The award is validation that the Grand Wagoneer is tops in its segment, offering unsurpassed performance and capability, premium materials and features," Morrison said.

Best Family Friendly Technology

Features include a rear-seat monitoring camera, windshield head-up display, Amazon Fire TV Built-in and a high-end McIntosh audio setup.

All Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer SUVs feature the advanced Uconnect 5 system which has five times faster operating speeds and seamless connectivity across multiple entertainment options.

In-car technology is elevated with standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

A batch of new convenience and connected services like Remote Vehicle Operations and SmartWatch Extension keep occupants engaged and informed.

Best Passenger Ecosystem

Grand Wagoneer delivers a best-in-class towing capacity of 10,000 pounds which allows it to haul a large travel trailer or mid-sized boat without passenger inconvenience. Inside the vehicle is designed for luxurious comfort with Palermo leather-trimmed seating complementing a handcrafted Satin American Walnut wood trim.

The Grand Wagoneer L and Wagoneer L come with an extended 130-inch wheelbase 12 inches longer than standard wheelbase models.

Modification allows both vehicles to deliver unmatched passenger comfort for eight passengers with more legroom for second and third-row occupants than previous models. It also allows L models to offer  44.2 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row—15.8 cubic feet more than the standard Wagoneer.
